Which shipping option is more secure — Standard, Plus or Registered? For purely digital delivery, three specialised options are available. They differ in the level of legal certainty and verifiability.
ePost Standard
This option is suitable for general correspondence. You will receive a confirmation as soon as the document has been successfully transmitted to the recipient's digital inbox. This confirms the technical delivery.
ePost Plus
This option documents the recipient's behaviour after delivery. You will receive a retrieval confirmation as soon as the recipient has opened or downloaded the document. If the recipient does not open the letter within seven days, you will receive a non-retrieval confirmation. ePost Plus is suitable for important documents where you want to track whether the letter has been opened.
ePost Registered
With ePost Registered, you send letters with the highest level of legal certainty — equivalent to a physical registered letter, but entirely digital. The recipient can actively accept or reject the letter. If they neither accept nor reject it within seven days, the letter is legally deemed delivered by delivery fiction.
Example: A registered digital letter arrives on 1 July and is neither accepted nor rejected by 8 July; it is then considered legally delivered.
ePost Registered is suitable for legally binding communications such as terminations, reminders, or official and contractual notifications with deadlines.
