To merge two ePost accounts, transfer the documents manually from the old account to the new one. Once the transfer is complete, you can delete the account you no longer need.
Important: If your ePost account is linked to a partner account, we recommend keeping this account. When the ePost account is deleted, the link is removed, but the partner account, including the digital inbox, continues to exist.
Procedure:
- Log in to the web portal app.epost.ch in the browser with the account you want to delete.
- Go to the filing area.
- Click the document export button at the top right.
Note: Documents in the recycle bin are not exported.
- Enter your email address as well as a password for the export.
- Open your email inbox and download the export.
- Open the export folder and delete the following files:
- The file «audit…zip»
- All .tsr and .json files
Note: Documents may also be located in the subfolders. Please therefore check all folders and subfolders carefully and delete the files mentioned above everywhere.
- Compress the folder again (right-click the folder and select «Compress»).
- Log in again to the web portal app.epost.ch in the browser, this time with the account you want to keep.
- Scroll down and select «Upload ZIP file here».
- Select the compressed file from your local storage and upload it.
- Once the import is complete, you will find the imported documents in the filing area in a new folder.
Open the ePost app and log in with the account to be deleted. Delete the account according to the instructions: How can I delete my account?
Once the deletion is complete, you have successfully migrated your data and have only one ePost account left.
