You would like to save TWINT as a payment method for your ePost Scanning Service subscription, but you receive an error message. Alternatively, you can also use the credit card/debit card payment method.
On your smartphone, you copy the code and paste it into the TWINT app – but the TWINT app does not accept it.
This message appears in the TWINT app
After you paste the code, the TWINT app displays: “A technical error has occurred. Please try again later.” Trying again later unfortunately does not help because the code contains spaces. Follow the solutions below.
Why does this happen?
When copying on a smartphone, spaces are inserted between the characters in the code. S4SR3TG becomes S 4 S R 3 T G. The TWINT app does not recognise the code if it contains spaces. We are working on a solution.
How to set up TWINT anyway
Solution 1: Enter the code manually (recommended)
- In the Post app, open “My digital post” › “Profile” › “Payment settings” and select TWINT.
- Remember the displayed code (for example, S4SR3TG). Leave this page open.
- Open your bank’s TWINT app and select the option to enter a code.
- Enter the code without spaces and confirm.
- Return to the Post app. TWINT is now saved as a payment method.
Solution 2: Set it up on a computer and scan the QR code
- On your computer, log in to ePost in your web browser and open the payment settings.
- Select TWINT. The QR code appears on the screen.
- Scan the QR code with the TWINT app on your smartphone and confirm.
Good to know
- The code is valid for a short time only. If it is no longer valid, restart the setup process. You will then receive a new code.
- Use your bank’s TWINT app, which you also use for other payments.
