You change your address and your name in the Swiss Post-App under «My digital mail», then select «My profile» and tap «Personal data». There you can change your surname and your address. In addition, we recommend reporting the change to Swiss Post via the customer portal or at the counter. You will find the instructions below.
You can request a correction of the name and address in the systems of Swiss Post in two ways:
1. Online: in the customer portal «My Post» at www.post.ch
- Go to post.ch and click «My Post» at the top right.
- Log in with your SwissID.
- At the top right, go to your user profile (circle with your initials), click the circle and select «My profile».
- In the «User details» area, open the address change using the pencil icon.
- Then select «Report name correction» and enter your name change.
- Then go back, select the pencil under «User details» again and click «Change address». Enter your address change there.
2. On site: at a Swiss Post branch
You can also report name changes directly at the counter of a post office branch. To prevent fraud, private individuals are required to present a valid, new identity document. Business customers must present a current commercial register extract as well as an identity document.
Have you subscribed to the ScanningService? Then please follow these steps:
- As soon as you have changed the new address and name in your profile in «My digital mail», you can verify the new address. You will receive a physical letter with a verification code for this.
- Order the ScanningService for the new address so that your mail can be forwarded and scanned under your new name.
- Remove the previous address and the old name as soon as no more mail is sent to this address.
