So that you continue to receive your mail reliably after moving, please follow the steps below:
- Inform senders of your new address. Inform all companies and people from whom you receive mail of your new address. Use Swiss Post's forwarding service to have your mail forwarded temporarily.
- Register the new address in the Swiss Post-App, «My digital mail» section. As soon as your name is correctly displayed on the letterbox, register your new address in the Swiss Post-App under: «My digital mail», «Profile» → «Personal data» → «Addresses» and then «Report move».
- Verify the address. Verify your new address. You will receive a physical letter with a verification code. Activate the ScanningService: after successful verification, activate the ScanningService for your new address. To do so, open the Swiss Post-App, go to «My digital mail» under «Profile» and then, under «Widget Store», subscribe to the ePost ScanningService for the new address (subject to charge).
- Note the procedure with an active forwarding order. Make sure your new address is set up and activated correctly. Without correct forwarding and activation, letters may not be scanned or may be returned to the old address or to the sender.
- Remove the old address. As soon as there is no longer a forwarding order or your new address is fully active, you can delete your old address in the Swiss Post-App under «My digital mail» and then «Profile» «Personal data» «Addresses».
Note on forwarding (NSA): If you have set up a forwarding order with Swiss Post, you must register a change of address with forwarding. This ensures your mail continues to be processed correctly: https://www.post.ch/en/receiving-mail/relocation
